Hi,
I'm using FrameMaker 11 and looking for a way to export my books in HTML (other formats could be considered) to create online help. But we want to link our software options and settings to this online content to offer fast-access contextual help to the users. To do this, we need the destination links (this could be headings or even paragraphs) to have either fixed numbers or text. Why fixed? because we update the documentation many times a year and we don't want to relink anything manually each time we re-export.
Mif2go allows me to do this using FrameMaker's ObjectIDs. Problem is we use conditional text, and each time conditional text is hidden/displayed, the ObjectIDs for this text change (thefore screwing up the links). Theoretically, Mif2go allows me to use full text instead of numeric ID (using this html option: XrefType=Full), but I can't make it work.
So, my question is: Can this be done using FrameMaker-Robohelp, the Technical Communication Suite or any other ways?
Hope this is clear. Thanks!

Yes, you can do this through TCS with CSH markers – which is what I think you’re looking for. Have you queried the Mif2Go forums for help? I’ve found Jeremy to be really responsive to inquiries.

Thanks! I'll look into this. Are CSH markers automatically generated (we have a great number of options/settings to document and would prefer to avoid manual work)?
Mif2Go forums: Not yet. I was looking for options. 🙂

Well, the manual part is back in FM where you add the markers; the automatic part is over in RH where you tell it to use those markers to come up with Map IDs to be used in calling CSH.
