Flahs Player Error Message

New Here ,

Hello,

I am using RoboHelp HTML 6 build 099

Using the Smart Wizard, I created an Index with around 7,000 terms. I run ca 'Batch Generated" withb a Layout Name "FlashHelp (primary Layout)" and Output Type "Flash Help". (No errors found!)

When I run the batch file, I see my Index and its 7,000+ items. Butwhen type a term that is not in the Index I get the following error:

"A script in this movie is causing Flash Player to run slowly....:"

I understand that Flash Player is displaying this error because RoboHelp is taking too long to retrieve data or it is in some kind of a loop. Does anybody have a suggestion of how to take care of this error?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums. I have seen this error with the index when typing the text for the first index term (which is a corner case because if you see the term listed first, why type it?). But this was fixed in RH7, which doesn't help you without upgrading.

Maybe this is the same bug, though. I don't think we found a workaround before the fix was released.

What about synonyms? With 7000 terms in your index, you've probably included synonyms. That's the only way I can think of to cover the possibility of people typing in a word that's not listed.
