FM10 book imported into RH9 as HTML Files

Hi

I have both TCS 4.0 and TCS 3.5. The current issue is happening only with FM10-RH9 combo of TCS 3.5.

When I import the FM10 book into RH10, the files are getting saved in the HTML Files (topics) folder of Project Manager pod instead of Project Files folder. Though I was a bit surprised, I kind of ignored this issue initially because it was not affecting me in any way.

However, when I tried to generate the browse sequence, despite selecting "All Folders" and auto-creating the browse sequence using the TOC, I am getting topics of only two folders. There are no issues with the RH TOC as I have generated it using FM TOC file.

Are these two issues related? Please help.

The importing of FM11 book to RH10 works perfectly.

I am testing a settings.isf file and documenting the procedure for FM to RH converstion and few post-import tasks all the way till publishing WebHelp outputs. Since some of my colleagues have not upgraded to TCS 4, I want to make sure that the ISF file and my procedures mentioned in my guidelines document hold good for TCS 3.5 as well.

By the way, I just got to know about the Toggle Project Manager View button to change HTML Files folders to Project Files folder. So, the Browse Sequence Editor issue is due to something else.

What could it be?

So why are you bothering messing about with TCS 3.5 if TCS 4.0 is working?

I’ve never used it (the auto browse sequence creator), but from what I recall, if you want it to run through all topics in order you have to specify something like “0” as the depth (or something to force it to use the root folder as a starting place).

I have two levels in the ToC. And in the RH10, I specify the "2" as depth and it works fine. Even in RH9, the levels seem to be fine.

I think the problem lies in the fact that it is not considering all the lessons/ topics that is there in the TOC. I don't know why that is happening though.
