Question

Generating DOC files in RH7

I have RH7 (all lastest patches). Using W7, 64Bit

I am able to generate the DOC file (using 2003). I am using the Single Source and see the file being created. I don't have any conditions set. The problem I am encountering is that not all topics ar being included in the DOC file. I'm assuming there is some setting that I am missing so its not printing some topics.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Shawn

Figured it out. I did not realize you had to add the items required to the Word file in the wizard (when being created). Can items be added each time or is this always a manual process when I add new topics?

See Printed Documentation on my site.

The first time the TOC is taken as the default. After that the topics in the print layout are deliberately not mirrored.

One solution is to keep a TOC for the print layout, update that whenever you update the online TOC if it is a topic you want in the print layout. Then when you generate the prointed document you just click the left chevron to remove all topics that were there and then click the right chevron to get the revised print TOC.

Peter:

Thank you.

It seems the TOC doesn't appear exactly in the Word file or maybe its the way I sent up the TOC. I had a book with a link and two subtopics and they also went to the same link as the book. In Word, this appeard multiple times in the TOC. By design or my configuration?

I will take a look at Printed Documentation on your site.
