Having trouble getting hotspots to "take" in RH 8?

We have upgraded from RH 5 to RH 8. In replacing hotspot images, the image itself shows up well in the compiled version, but the existing hotspots suddenly point to the wrong topic. Attempts to redirect them to the correct topic fail. Anyone else having this difficulty?

Hi there

So we know what version you are using. Thanks for that. But unfortunately my crystal ball is in the shop for repairs. I cannot discern whether you are using RoboHelp for Word or RoboHelp HTML.

Hotspot Images may mean you are using RoboHelp HTML and creating Image Maps. Or it may mean you are using RoboHelp for Word and using the SHG images.

Cheers... Rick

Hi Rick,

Thank you--we're using RH for Word and creating web help; yes, using SHG images.

I've been away from robohelp for awhile and just getting back into it. They upgraded from RH 5 to RH 8, with none of the incremental upgrades. Bought the sw from a retailer, so no manual came with it. Also got no tech support with it

I'll look into the links you sent. Many thanks

Bobbie

Hi again

Well, the links are simply part of my signature line.

If you are creating a HTML (Web based) output, you really should consider switching to RoboHelp HTML. You will likely find that it works much better for you.

Cheers... Rick
