We just updated to RH 2022 Update 6 and created a new template. There are a couple problems. But I would like to get some input regarding the header buttons not showing up.
We created a new template and it looks great. The navigation arrows appear but nothing else when we run the output. The icons for the Table of Contents, Glossary, Search, email and printer all appear when we edit the template but do not appear in the output. Everything in the template seems to look or and we have tried several changes without success.
Does anyone have any suggestions or experiencing similar problems?
We appreciate the help.
Thank you,
Ken

From version 3.

To be 100% sure, you mean RoboHelp 2022 Update 3. (2022 is the version)
Do you still have the template you used before and does that still work?
When you say the buttons do not appear in the output, is that in the local output or only on the server?

Yes, I mean RoboHelp 2022 Update 3. Sorry. No, we tried to use the old template and it said it needed to be updated. We could not figure out how to update it. The output was located on my server, but just changed it to my local hard drive and got the same thing. The search also does not work but everything else appears to be great.

So the project is on your local drive and the output is being generated to that drive in the preset, as opposed to being copied there, correct?

Actually, the project input is on the server. I changed the Output Path to my local drive in the Output Presets. I hope that helps. Should I also rerun the project on my local drive so both the input and output are there?

Yes, both local.
When putting projects on a server was enabled, it was qualified by "dependent on your network".

I ran the project locally both input and output and got the same thing. I am not sure if you can see them, but I pasted shots of the Template Edit with the icons and the Output not having them.

Can you post a screenshot of the preset settings?

That Output path isn't local - you're pointing it to a OneDrive spot in the cloud...

... and OneDrive is known to be the worst Cloud option with RoboHelp and other software.

My bad. I reran it on my C drive. Still the same results.
With Update 3 we were able to run on the network no problem. I updated an old project we ran in Update 3 using Update 6 and the icons showed up in the header. So it looks like the network is not an issue. I think we may be doing something wrong with creating the template.

Well, start with the "factory" one and test as you go as you change things - that might uncover where it goes sideways on you.

Export the template and zip it. See the Contact page on my site and send the template. I'll take a look in the morning.

Thanks Peter. But I think I figure out a work around. I opened up in Update 6 a project we created last year in Update 3. It was the same document and template. I updated the project, which included the template. I exported that template and then used it the Update 6 project. All the icons appeared and the search now works. I could not figure out how to update the prior template. But I guess I just did. I greatly appreciate all the help, guidance, offer to help further. I appreciate it.
