Question

Icon for browser

I have had this reported by my QA team for my web-based product.

I am on RH8 - 8.02.208

See below, the icon for the help in the address and on the tab of the IE browser shows the generic Internet icon.

We do have a custom icon that we use for our application in the address bar and on the tab.

Is there somewhere in a project I can define the icon/graphic that we want to show?

As always, thanks in advance for any assistance.

I thought I had searched before posting this, but found a recent (1/25) posting with a similar question.

The response was that RoboHelp does not support "favicons".

That posting is here.

I will close this posting as it is a duplicate question.

Not so fast. You are right that RoboHelp 8 does not support favicons but a solution is in Snippets on my site. Better still, the upgrade to RoboHelp 9 from 8 is at a lower cost than previous upgrades and that does support favicons.

Hi Michael

Did you also remember to clear the History/Cache on your browser?

Cheers... Rick

Sorry I thought I had documented it but I see not.

See if this helps. http://forums.adobe.com/message/2497492#2497492

Also Google favicon as that produces a lot of information.

Post back if you still cannot get it working.
