Importing HTML-files to RH6 project

New Here ,

Hi,
I have some existing html files that I'd like to import to a RH6 project. When I do this, however, RH don't manage to show me the files in WYSIWYG oct TrueCode, instead notepad opens. Why? Can I change this?

Another question, if I'd like to use both WYSIWYG and TrueCode mode, is there any possibility to get rid of all Kadov-code? Even if I remove it, next time I open TrueCode mode it's back.

Hi johanssonskan

instead notepad opens. Why? Can I change this?

Try clicking Tools > Options... > HTML Editors tab. See that option near the bottom that reads: Auto-select Editor? (I'm guessing that is the one that is currently selected, as it's normally the default) Choose the other option labeled "Use Default Editor".

Nope, sorry, no way to banish kadov code. At least for now.

Cheers... Rick

Hi again

Sorry, I should also probably mention that there actually *IS* a way to maintain clean code free of kadov tags. You could set a different editor (Notepad or maybe Dreamweaver) as your default editor. Then never ever open files in the RoboHelp HTML WYSIWYG editor to make changes.

Personally, kadov code has never seemed to affect my files. I know others hate the codes with a passion. But as long as they aren't really breaking anything, I've never given them much thought.

Cheers... Rick
