Installed TCS 2.5 does not include single-sourcing FM>RH feature

Hi Everyone,

I installed Tech Comm Suite 2.5 and the RH single-sourcing feature is not available. In a new project, it should be accessible by right-clicking on Project Files > Ref/Link > FrameMaker.

  • I've uninstalled and installed TCS 2.5 four times, with increasingly more aggressive uninstalls. For the fourth uninstall I used Revo to remove all things Adobe from my computer, including registry keys.
  • I've called Adobe and they want me to purchase a support plan. For your sanity, I won't get into what I think about that.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Well, first off, you should post over in the TCS Installation Issues forum, not here. Anyways...do you have local Admin rights to your machine? You don't mention what o/s you're trying to install on, but if it's Win7 you need to give yourself rights to your own c:\ drive - they're not automatic like it was in WinXP. The other thing you should check is if the RH menu appears on your FM install - if it doesn't then you need to adjust your maker.ini file to record the existence of the RH to FM integration dll.
