I've got several huge cab files taking space on my HD (and I need space) from

my robohelp for word 8 install. Among them are:

C:\Users\Allen\Desktop\Adobe RoboHelp 8\Adobe RoboHelp 8\adobepdfaddon\fre\CD\Data1.cab

C:\Users\Allen\Desktop\Adobe RoboHelp 8\Adobe RoboHelp 8\adobepdfaddon\jpn\CD\Data1.cab

C:\Users\Allen\Desktop\Adobe RoboHelp 8\Adobe RoboHelp 8\adobepdfaddon\enu\CD\Data1.cab

C:\Users\Allen\Desktop\Adobe RoboHelp 8\Adobe RoboHelp 8\adobepdfaddon\deu\CD\Data1.cab

Can I delete these CAB files?

Can I delete the whole CD\ folder without issues?

Thank you.

If you look at the directories in your first post you'll see a three letter abbreviation (e.g. FRE, JPN, etc.) which equate to the Frence, Japanese, English and German languages.

Thinking about this further I'd suggest these are data files as opposed to installed files. So I suspect that they have been created in the past when a PDF was created in those languages. They are probably safe to remove but move them to a backup location just in case.

Just researched this a bit further. The .CAB files are more than likely a compressed version of an installation file for the PDF printer application mentioned in the directory names. The language folders are probably just the installation files in those languages. So you now be in a position to make an informed choice as to whether they can be deleted. I'd say "Yes" but the final decision is down to you.

There aren't that many RH for Word users these days so I suspect answers maybe few and far between.  These files appear to be related to PDFs in French, Japanese, English and German. Perhaps they were installed there or copied from the install CD? Anyway if you don't use any of these languages I guess it would be safe to delete them. Personally I've copy them to a network location rather than deleting them outright.

When you mean use French, Japanese etc. Do you mean have the user interface of Robohelp in those languages. Or do you mean create help files in those languages? Thank you.

Also, I do have the installation somewhere, so, recovering shouldn't be a problem.
