We created a RoboHelp Group and added a LDAP group within this group and granted view only access to a secured area .
When a user of this LDAP group logs in they get a message that they do not have access. If we add this person LDAP ID to the RoboHelp Group, works. We have 10,000 users, this would be hard to manage Ideally we want to mange security through LDAP Groups.
As for user management, we expected the Robohelp server to accept LDAP groups. While this seems to be a valid configuration, the software doesn't seem to be capable of expanding Domino LDAP groups.

more information....
We added Wire Shark to the server.
We see the user authenication come in and is successful against LDAP
Server then immediately makes a second call requesting the LDAP group
All the users in group are there in the reponse back tp the server and this users information is there
Then the clients receives error message
"No access to specified area"
This LDAP group does have viewing rights to this area.
I think this is a bug in RoboHelp Server not reading the LDAP group information correctly
Thanks

Hi Ed.
I thought I'd better respond, not because I have an answer, but so you don't feel ignored.
The problem here is that I suspect that most users are not using LDAP Groups to connect to the RoboHelp Server and therefore are unable to help. Hopefully someone with more LDAP experience will be able to contribute but until then, I fear you may have to find a solution elsewhere.
