Link to PDF file within AirHelp

Hello,

I'd like my AIRHelp file (.air) to have a PDF file embedded in it (to enable higher quality printing then AirHelp provides).  I'd also like to link to that PDF file from within the AirHelp project (For example, a link that says "PDF Version of this Manual").  Is this possible?

Every time I try to build the Air Help project with a link to a PDF file RoboHelp 9 just closes in the middle of the build.

I just set up a test and the .AIR file was created without any crashing. You cannot test the link with View Result but once installed the link worked OK.

Try with some different PDFs and see how you get on.

Thanks Peter...trying a different file worked fine for me, so the question now is why my current PDF has issues.  It opens without problems and seems to get through Acrobat's "Preflight" checks without any problems...so I'll have to do some more digging.

Try either recreating it from the source or just doing a Save As. It's a hunch but it's better than nothing.

    Hmm...

Tried resaving the PDF from Acrobat...no luck.

Tried cutting all but one page out of the PDF...no luck.

Tried unchecking "Exclude External Baggage Files from Search...no luck.

The interesting thing is that the PDF started as a Robohelp > Word output, then saved as PDF from Word.  I'm going to try creating the PDF from the Word file via a different method.
