Localizing into Arabic doesn't look right in word

My company has had all htm files translated into Arabic from the original English project. By tweeking the X5 we have managed to get the chm file created and looking (almost) correct, but when generating a word output only gibberish apears. Which setting do we need to adjust to get the word looking like the chm? I know this is not supported by Robohelp, but has anyone any experience with this anyhow??? -Do I need to generate the word output on an Arabic machine?

kind regards
Rikke

RH7 supports a lot of languages but Arabic is not one of them. RHX3 was the last version that supported Arabic.

As far as the CHM is concerned, I am less sure. You say you have tweaked RHX5. What does this mean exactly. You also say things are not 100%.

Hi again,

This is not the response I was hoping for, since I do have to create Arabic help - both online and printet :-(
The chm has been tweaked by changing our css (adding "direction: rtl") and changing the hhp file to "Language=0x401". Topic seems to work fine with this (although I cannot read Arabic to be completely sure) but the TOC has some unwanted extra characters or simply wrong ones.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to proceed?

kind regards
Rikke

Hi Rikke.

The problem is, as you said, that is isn't supported in RHX5. Even on an Arabic PC the fact remains that RHX5 (which produces the word document based on its internal code) does not recognise arabic script.

Hi Colum,

Do you know why the chm file looks fine then? Is that created in a completely different manner?
And will all my problems be solved by upgrading to version 7 ? ;-)
