Mystery error message

An error message about a missing help file (Can't find help file L:\SBS\Mirhelp.hlp) appears when my users first open help by either pressing F1 or clicking the Help icon in the programs. If they try again, help opens with no problems. This only happens with new users doing the first install of our products. There has been no change in how I do the help files so this is a real mystery. There have been no problems with the compile.

Hi mjp 321

As the message is referencing drive letter L, I'm guessing that at some point the help file was placed on a network? If so, I'm further speculating that you may have a hidden file with a .GID extension lurking about. Maybe perform a search and destroy of any .GID files you find.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks. The .gid file was the culprit.
