Not able to add variable in title of html5 output

The Help describes: You can use variables in the title. To do so, type Ctrl + 1 and select a variable from the drop-down list, and then press Enter(https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/using/generate-responsive-html5-output.html)

When I do this, nothing happens! Of course, I created a variable first. After the fail, I also tried by creating a variable set, but still nothing happens.

I tried it with the About RoboHelp sample project. Same problem.

Assuming you mean Output Title, hover over the i (information) and that says Ctrl Shift 9. I'm not sure when this changed but it seems to work in Update 6 which I know you are using from another thread.

So CTRL+SHIFT+9 works. It would be nice to have this feature also fot he Header Logo URL field under Layout

Ctrl-Shift-9 opens a small drop-down right below the Title field:

Ctrl+1 (on my RoboHelp on Mac it is "command + 1") opens a larger dialog:
