Hi,

I have a large doc which was originally done in Frame 7.0, I now have upgraded to Frame 8.0 and have also purchased RoboHelp 7 to make help files.

I have attempted to import the Frame files / book - into RoboHelp 7, but it says to make sure it's a valid Frame File.

How can I get around this, any ideas please ? It's over 300 pages long.

I have seen an error message that says it cannot find a valid FrameMaker file, when there is one.

The symptoms were:
In the Open (link to book file) dialog box, when I selected the book file, it would not populate the File Name field below. Just would not go in there! Even though the FM book file was right there in front of my eyes.

Fix:
I shutdown RoboHelp, and then re-opened it, and the project I had started. I tried linking to the book file again, and this time it worked.

It seemed like somehow RoboHelp was out of sync with what files were on my hard drive.

This was using the FrameMaker and Robohelp applications from the Tech Suite (with the latest updates as of 6/20/08).

PS Be sure to start with FM book with files that update successfully, i.e, no error messages about broken cross references or missing graphics.
Color or numbering errors don't seem to matter.
