Out of Memory Error

I just installed a valid TCS after uninstalling the trial version.

I am attempting to create a small help file from a FrameMaker book containing a TOC, index, glossary and lists of figures and tables. The chapter in the file is maybe 4 pages long and contains one graphic, 2 tables, 2 glossary entries, and 6 index entries.

I add the FM book from "Add FrameMaker File..." command on the context menu from the top folder in the Project Manager pod. That goes OK, even with a customized XML mapping file.

When I change the stylesheet using the procedure delineated in the TSC blog (right-click the Frame book icon and select "Properties" from the context menu), and subsequently attempt to update the Frame files, the system seems to hang for a few minutes (I get the animated message box with the progress bar, and it's still animated) and I get an Out of Memory error.

After this point, the only thing I can do is kill the process from the Task Manager.

System information: Windows XP 2002 SP2 on a Dell Latitude D630, Intel Core2Duo T7500@ 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM

Is everything else working fine in RoboHelp? Try publishing from sample projects, import FrameMaker file without adding as live link and so on. Did you face similar issues with the trial version?

One possible solution is re-install of the application (please un-install the patches before you re-install).
