PNG images disappear when linked from FM

I am testing the Technical Communication Suite 4. My images are mostly JPGs, and they transfer correctly when I update Robohelp from a linked FrameMaker file. However, I have found that PNG images in the FrameMaker file simply disappear from the update. They don't appear in the Robohelp topic. There is no trace of them in the HTML code view in Robohelp either.

Have others had this experience? Is there a solution?

I am told PNGs are preferable to JPGs in some cases because they load faster on the target device (an iPad, in the case I was told about).

Are they in anchored frames in the FM doc?

I believe so, since that is the FM default. But what process do I use to confirm that they are anchored? Where does FM tell me that?

Frankly, I forget because I don't have images in my content. If you don't have a copy of FM8 Fundamentals at hand, try checking the scriptorium.com KB for the info.
