Print Document Does Not Generate

Explorer ,
Jan 05, 2009 Jan 05, 2009
Greetings,

Using RoboHelp X7 to generate a Word document; Word 2007 installed on the computer.

Since last Friday, I have attempted to generate a word document from RX7; previous print version of the document generate without any problems.

After clicking the generate print document, the process seems to function accordingly, however after 10 minutes, the "File In Use" dialog box displays, indicating the document is locked by me.

I tried to open the document in read-only, but Word crashes (I suspect the generataion process is not complete). Other options in "File In Use" dialog box do not wrok either.

Any suggestions to solve this problem?

I'll assume that in that time the PC has been rebooted.

Are you generating to the local drive?

Have you tried generating a new layout with just a few topics to see if it is just this layout or any?

Peter,

Thanks for your response.

PC Re-booted - Yes
Generating to the local drive - Yes
Within the project, I have tried generating one chapter - no luck still crashes.
I generated another printed document (different project) with no problems.

Could the project files be corrupted?

"Within the project, I have tried generating one chapter - no luck still crashes" By adapting the same layout or creating a new one?

Make a backup of the project. Delete the CPD and then reopen the project.

Peter,

I'll delete the CPD file and try again.
Could you please clarify what you mean by layout?

Thanks,
