I have 11 chapters of a procedures manual. All of them but chapter 1 published correctly.  I checked the test environment and the live environment and chapter 1 will not appear on the final index  Chapter 1 for some reason will not publish at index.aspx.  Please advise. Thanks.

What are you using? You have posted in a forum for the Adobe RoboHelp product that does not create an ASPX file.

OK but the start page for an output is index.htm rather than index.aspx unless your are publishing to Sharepoint. If that is the case, then please generate an output locally to check you get the same problem. That will make it easier for me to help you.

You haven't said which version of RoboHelp you are using.

  • If you are using a Classic version please go to File Help > About and confirm the version shown. If it is 2019 Classic, please add "Classic" when advising the version number.
  • If you are using the New UI, the version number will  be found in Help > About. Please add "New UI" if the version number starts 14.

You say Chapter 1 does not appear in the final index. Do you mean the TOC?

I am publishing to SharePoint.  I'm using Adobe Robohelp Classic 2019.  Yes, I mean it doesn't appear in the TOC when published.

First thing I think is to check whether it's just missing from the TOC or from the build.

Please check:-

  1. Does a search find topics that are in Chapter 1?
  2. Are the topics in the output folder, just not showing in the TOC?

If the answers are Yes, then check the TOC is not appearing because it has got tagged out or the wrong TOC was selected in the build.

I have ascertained the only difference between the sharepoint output and the ordinary output is the file extension so use your Sharepoint output.
