Removing Select Block

Community Beginner ,

Does anyone know how to remove the Select Block in a compiled HTML help file? I used RoboHELP 7 for Word to create the CHM file. In the compiled file, at the top right, there is a navigation pane that includes a drop-down list showing all the Word docs I imported into the help file. I don't want these documents to display (there are plenty of other navigation tools available to the user). I can't seem to find a setting for it. Anyone know of a way to hide it?

I ended up having to remove the entire navigation tool from my compiled help. Bummer. I kind of liked the way you go from topic to topic laterally, but the listing of the "behind the scenes" Word docs seemed to be intertwined.

norapetch: can you provide information on how you removed the nav tool? I'm new to robohelp but have been able to navigate my way through just fine...but this has been a challenge. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi all

@Peter - I suspect that norapetch is (was) referring to the Browse Sequence area of the Compiled .CHM file.

@norapetch and yaya321 - You disable this feature by editing the properties of the Single Source Layout for HTML Help. Click the Next > button four times and clear the check box labeled "Browse Sequences".

Just an observation for you two. It might be worthy of considering a switch from using RoboHelp for Word as your authoring tool to RoboHelp HTML. Especially if your output is going to be HTML. You will likely find yourself painted into many corners by continuing the Word route.

Cheers... Rick

I don't know what you mean by Select Block. You shouldn't remove the navigation as that is poor for the user.

You cannot post images here but maybe you can put one on a free site?
