some of my picutres in the resource manager are not showen (they are all located on the same place and .gif) - there is just a red X (also in the preview). In the chm i can see the pictures. Why? And can it cause other problems (for example that the pictures are not showen in the chm on other pcs)?

Resource Manager and your project are quite separate things.

When you use an image or any other resource that is in Resource Manager, it is copied into your project and has no further link.

I'm not sure how an image can show as missing from Resouce Manager as it is simply a display of what is there, it doesn't work like Project Manager which knows what should be there and warns you if something is missing.

My first move would be to take Resource Manager and your projects from within your profile and put them in folders directly off the C drive. (Resource Manager can be on a network drive if you are sharing with other authors).

Do the images shown as missing in Preview show as missing in Project Manager?

I´ve got no problems with the picutres in the project manager. When i double-klick a picuture in the project manager, i can see the right preview.

But i also can see the right preview when i double klick it in the resource manager. Its just the preview below the resource manager and the topic-preview where it is missing. It´s not a big problem, but i´m scared that something in the chm will not be like it should on other PCs

I don´t really understand what you mean with the c-drive. I´ve copied the whole project to C: know and opened it from there, but there are still some previews missing.

(sry for my bad english)

Provided the image is displayed inside your project (i.e. in the Project Manager pod) there should be no problem with the output.
