I try to move a Topic, let go and I get the "Moving" popup in the lower right part of the screen and it has been over 30 minutes ...
This may end up being a technical troubleshooting question, so I'll add:
Thanks again folks for all your help so far!

Was RoboHelp installed by an admin, that's a must?
Is the project on a local drive? Whilst the new UI versions can run on a network, it is then dependent on your network speed?

RoboHelp must be installed with admin rights. I don't know what you mean by Software Centre.

Hi Peter,
From the horse's mouth: Your organization's IT admin uses Software Center to install applications, software updates, and upg....
Unless folks work for a large org, they've never heard of it.
Take care

In that case speak to your IT. It remains the case admin rights are required.

Source control like GIT or SharePoint etc. Some software that requires you to check out topics before being able to work on them in RH.

Hi Jeff, I am working locally with RH. I have not yet published to a server, nor am I involved in working with RH and SP.

I'm not saying the admin rights is definitely the cause and it maybe that things are set up so that RoboHelp is installed with admin rights. Simply it is important to check that with your IT.
Are other things working OK?

Everything is very iffy ... I had to create a new login because my other AdobeID can't log into the community. But I had posted about RH can only a limited number of html files to be used as topics, while the lates RH, on a different laptop can import 685 html topics in a few seconds. So now I'm reaching out to my IT contacts to build a case of what is needed to get RH and Captivate working issue free.

Yes but as in the other thread, the import issue could be a bug. Post back when you know more.

Also note, you only need admin rights to install Robohelp. (And open the application once, just to make sure everything gets written to registry etc correctly).
Then you can use your regular, locked down, account to use it day to day.
