Question

RH7 - Can I disable the mulitple topic feature?

I like the multiple topic feature in RH7; however, I don't always want to use it. For example, I'm going through a large project looking for conditional text in each topic for edits. I just want to click through each topic and have it close when I move on to the next one. It seems that the more topics I open, the more slowly the app runs.

Thank you both. I will submit a request.

Hi Bridge - yeah, it will slow down. Sometimes I really like the multiple windows feature. Until I am on a roll and realize I have 27 topics open. Right now, there is no way to disable this. I think someone brought this up a few months ago, and the general consensus was that you should go to the Adobe site and enter an enhancement request for a future release. The more the merrier - if you want an on/of switch, definitely log a request.

Hi Bridget and welcome to our community

Sorry, but that feature isn't quite available yet. I do believe it's on Adobe's radar as an option for the future, but not much you can do about it in Version 7. You do have the option of clicking Window > Close all (or right-clicking any tab and choosing close all).

Possibly you could assign your very own keyboard shortcut to the Window > Close all menu? Would that help?

Cheers... Rick
