Question

RH9. Is it still not possible to use snippets in numbered lists?

I saw that this was true in 2008, and it does not appear to be fixed in RH9. When I add a snippet to a numbered list, it gets a "DIV" and appears below the numbered text.

Pleasesubmit a feature request. You are not alone.

The more people who report a bug or request a feature, the more likely it is to be actioned. Please follow this link.

Meantime, you could use a variable with only one value.

    Hi Carol

This doesn't really surprise me as a Snippet is an object that appears in a paragraph all its own.

Are you saying that you want the snippet to appear as one of the numbered items within the list? Or perhaps separately within what one of the numbered items would contain?

    Cheers... Rick

    Hi, Rick and Peter.

Yes, I wanted the snippet to appear in a numbered list. Here's an approximate example. The bold text is the snippet that appears in the configuration procedure for each analysis.

    1. Open the project.
    2. Select the analysis type. The program displays the percentage of geocoded exposure. Since the application does not analyze non-geocoded exposures, you may want to fix the geocoding.
    3. Select the configuration options ...

Using a variable is a good idea to consider. I don't, however, want to go variable crazy either. There are many other places where I'd like to use snippets in a similar fashion.

I'll add my request to the feature request list.
