roboEngine3 - delete old data?

New Here ,
May 31, 2007 May 31, 2007
Hi there, due to problems with the roboEngine (access) database ballooning out to 2GB and causing issues I'm now looking at ways to keep the filesize down and came across the 'delete old data' command in the Configuration Manger. Can anyone explain what this does - is it just logging of the app which is essentially deleted? Does it have anything to do with the actual content (projects etc)? Have mercy, I'm new to roboHelp...

BTW, I have done a compact/repair and the dB is down to 190MB. phew!

Thanks,
Cam.

Hi Cam. I'm new to RoboHelp Server (using version 6) but not to RoboHelp but I'm add my opinion. In my version this option is a way of clearing data more than a certain number of days old (controllable from the Configuration Manager). The data deleted is stuff life the event log and server error info. Hope this helps.
