My project was working just fine on Friday. We changed the clocks over the weekend for daylight savings time and today when I open my project, it crashes every time. I tried deleting the CPD file and re-opening it and when I did, it didn't crash but a lot of my topics were missing. That wasn't acceptable, so I looked through the forum for some ideas and some one mentioned the correlation between crashes and the daylight savings time change. So, I changed the date on my computer to before DST and voila, my project no longer crashes. This is a workaround in a pinch but is there a way to permanently fix this? I can't keep changing the clock every time I want to use RoboHelp.

A suggestion has been made to me that maybe the issue is your PC is now out of sync with your network. Did the network not get reset?

Okay, I had my IT person help me to ensure that the PC is in sync with the network. Robohelp still crashes using today's date.
I purchased an upgrade to RoboHelp9 so hopefully that will eliminate the problem. I would still like to know how to fix this in case it happens again in the fall when we change the clocks again and while I wait for the upgrade software.

Hi
I'm also seeing odd behavior since yesterday with RoboHelp 9. When I move the mouse to the Project Manager pod to open a topic, the mouse starts to quiver/change shape, like when you save something and it turns to an hour glass.
BUT, I just undocked/docked the Project Manager pod and now all is well.
Very strange.

I was replying to j*davis who said that following undocking and redocking all was well. It may have fixed the problem permanently, it may not, hence my reply.
Jerky cursor behaviour can be a sign the project CPD had got too big and needs to be deleted. If you don't have the 802 patch applied, download it before working on any more projects.

Oh, I see! Where can I find the 802 patch?

See Update on the RoboHelp Help menu.
See Opening Projects on my site if you find your projects have been wrecked by not having 802. You will know if you see lot's of broken links.

That's just what I see with RoboHelp 8. This jerky cursor behavior right before it crashes. But I don't have any idea what docking/undocking a "pod" is....must be something in RoboHelp 9???
