RoboHelp HTML x5.0.1 Highlight Search

Guest

Hi,

In my WebHelp project, when a user clicks the Search button to do a full text search, and he types in a word, and then selects a topic in which he expects to find that word -- I would like the word in the topic to be highlighted.  Right now, when a user clicks Search and types in a word, he gets the topics listed on the left panel, but in the topic itself on the right, the word is not highlighted. I read somewhere that Highlight Search Results is an option, but I can't figure out how to enable the option.  Can someone please help?  Thank you!

I'm using RoboHelp HTML X5.0.1.

Hi there

Highlighting is an option for CHM output (Microsoft HTML help) but not for WebHelp in this version. Later versions of RoboHelp offer search highlighting in output. Or, you may find that ZoomSearch will as well.

Click here for fellow Adobe Community Professional Peter Grainge's site where ZoomSearch is described

There is a way of highlighting search results using X5. It is not part of the built in functionality and relies on using a javascript method written by Calvin Ly.
