Styles NOT showing up

Hi

Like so many of us in this forum, we have upgraded to the Tech Comm Suite and trying (in VAIN) to integrate FM documentation to RoboHelp.

We have figured out how the basic stuff of how to import by reference, attach a stylesheet, map the styles, create ones, attach/create a template.

Ok here is my issue. I have a few cross-references in my FM file. When integrated. They still show up with the Page nos.
I have edited in Properties --> Style Settings --> Styles Mappings (EDIT) --Created all / mapped all the styles, including Paragraph, Cross-References Style, and Character Styles.

I still end up getting cross-reference with a page no in my Robohelp. It shows in the styles dropdown (like WORD) that the cross-reference is not mapped. How do I get over this issue? How to map all of those "FM_" styles.

Thanks
Another RoboHelp User.

I am currently having an issue where the list of FrameMaker Styles in the Mapping Screen does not contain all of the FrameMaker styles used in the book that I am importing into RoboHelp. The Style appears in the drop-down as FM_<style>, where <style> is the name of the style as it appears in FrameMaker. It DOES NOT appear in the Styles Mapping window AT ALL. Any suggestions?

As a first step, make sure you have FrameMaker patch 8.0.4 and RoboHelp patch 7.0.2 installed on your machine. Patches should fix the cross reference problem.

I recommend you go through 3 training videos on the Technical Communication Suite. For details, see this link - http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2008/04/adobe_technical_communication_suite_framemaker_and_robohelp.html

I also recommend you look at this blog post for details on specific features for integration - http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2007/12/best_practices_for_single_sour.html

Now, to your question, "FM_Blue" is the style name autogenerated by RoboHelp for FrameMaker style "Blue" when it is mapped to source. The style Blue will appear in the mapping dialog. Please check Character Styles besides Paragraph styles if you can't find Blue.
