TCS4: RH Error: Failed to get any Framemaker document from..."

We are running TCS4, fully updated.

My co-worker is having the problem above on his workstation.

I opened the Frame book, addressed a couple of issues to get a clean update.

Went to RH, created a new book, and imported the FM book.  No problem.

On his machine, I opened the book in Frame, got a clean update.

Opened RH, created a new project, and tried to import--that's when we get the error.

It's clearly a problem with his machien, but we'd REALLY prefer not to have to try a TCS4 uninstall/reinstall.

Any ideas?

FYI – this should be in the FM Integration forum, but anyway – you may be out of luck – something’s gotten damaged in their install of RH. You may have no other choice but to deactivate, uninstall & reinstall.

OK. Is there a Best Practices approach to the procedure? And yes, I am assuming that it will be more complicated than just using the Windows uninstall function.

Doesn’t have to be – just remember to deactivate first; you can use a “deep cleaner” tool like revouninstaller, but it’s probably not necessary
