Text box in Robohelp for Word?

Greetings all,

I've searched through the Robohelp for Word but can't find any reference to "text boxes" in Word. A document that is being converted into a webhelp contains a text box with a colored background but this fails to appear when "View Primary Layout" is clicked- it's as if the text box doesn't exist. Is it possible to perform a function that would achieve the same end result, i.e., multiple paragraphs within a box (consistent, square, not highlighted sentences)?

Thanks,
Richard

You can't put everything that Word can do into a HTMLHelp. HTMLHelp has limititations. HTML has limitations. If the compiler comes across something it can't handle, it usually gives a message and does the best it can.

You could try doing it with a 1-cell table. You might even be able to change the background color of the cell. HTML can do both of those, so it should work.

Thank you Phil, the one cell table did the trick.

I'm finding it frustrating that Robohelp for Word is sold as a standalone product but doesn't seem to have any real support of Word conversion to Robohelp issues anywhere except in the forums. Pretty poor customer service from Adobe in my view. Nothing in the support pages covering topics such as 'best practices' for importing Word docs or what works vs what doesn't.

All of the support I've received as been from folks like you and Peter. Robohelp will not get my referral business.
