Turn off, or remove the "Print" function in RoboHelp 2015

New Here ,
Jan 21, 2016 Jan 21, 2016

We have our RoboHelp doc behind a secure site. We don't want people to be able to print it out (or create a PDF) for security reasons. Is there a way to remove the print icon and functionality in RoboHelp 2015?

Thank you.

Hi there

This has been posted in the HTML5 layouts area. To my knowledge, these layouts don't offer a print function. At least, what I've seen of the Responsive layouts. Which begs the question, exactly what output are you producing?

Cheers... Rick

And there is no way to turn off print functionality in the browser itself, as far as I know. (assuming a web-based output)

You also need to keep in mind that they could always take a screenshot.

Okay, my bad on this. It has been pointed out to me that the Responsive HTML 5 does indeed have a print button after all.

Apologies if I steered anyone wrong.

For what it's worth, I was looking at the Basic Settings as shown below and concluding it wasn't there.

Where the print option actually hides is in the Functionbar. But there seems to be no ability to turn it off or on.

I sure miss the ease of customization offered with a WebHelp Skin... Sigh...

Cheers... Rick
