Unable to import master-subdocuments from Word

Hello all, importing a Word master document that is linked to subdocuments leads to an error message (4005) in RH8. It is possible, but not practicable to import the subdocuments one by one. Is this a known problem and is there a way to import linked master-subdocuments this way?

Otherwise, is there an easy way to run the documents together in Word so that RoboHelp can import it all?

Thanks for the ideas. The Word function that inserts the subdocuments as part of the master does the job, although this is not a good workflow. But at least it works without errors.

I gave up on Master/Subdocs about 15 years ago. But from memory, there is an option in the master document to insert all the subs into the master automatically. A search on 'master' in the help should turn up the details, assuming it's still available.

RH will only import a single document so that takes us to your "otherwise".

At the end of one document, in Word go to Insert > File and browse to the next document. Repeat until all documents are in one.
