Unable to rename a snippet

Explorer ,
Apr 21, 2008 Apr 21, 2008
I have a snippet in whose name I inadvertently inserted a space. I want to remove that space, but when I open the Topic Properties for the snippet, it does not allow me to change the filename.

Is my only resort to delete the snippet and create a new one without that space in the filename? If so, that's a pain, though a small one in that I've "deployed" the snippet in only a few places. Heaven forbid I had used it hundreds of places.

Suggestions are appreciated!

Given that you have only deployed the snippet in a few places, it will be simpler and safer to start again. It probably can be fixed in other ways but that would involve a lot of find and replace stuff that could go wrong.

I suggest you visit http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform to request a change.

In RH7HTML, in the Snippet Pod, right-click on a Snippet and select Rename. That is how it is supposed to work. I am new at Snippets, so perhaps this does not work correctly?

Rename is the correct way to do it. If you rename it there and then go back to Properties, you will find the file name has changed as well and that cascades to the topics using the snippet.
