Window size adjustment in RoboHelp for Word 7

New Here ,

Hello,

I'm working on a help file using RoboHelp for Word 7.  Is there any way to adjust the help file window size so that it is larger when creating a .chm help file?  I understand that the help file for Robohelp says the window settings are only for winhelp projects.  However, I'm trying to see if there is any way or trick to adjust the window size for generating a .chm.

When i set the window setting to "maximize" and I hit generate for Microsoft HTML Help, then press View once it is complete, the help file actually appears in a maximized window.  But when I open the .chm itself (outside of Robohelp), it's still a small window.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Now that you have a CHM, you could Reverse Engineer that as described on my site. It takes very little time. Suggest Method 2.

Once you have done that you can move the topics into folders and get things organised in RH HTML.

If you are producing a CHM file, I'd question why you aren't using the RH HTML application rather than the RH for Word. It is a better tool for the purpose and can do exactly what you want.

I've been using RH HTML for all of my other help file projects but used RH for Word this time because it seemed to have the best type of conversion initially.  I first received a .hlp that I had to decompile in order to get a help project and then generate a .chm.  I tried importing the .hlp in RH HTML but I would have had to fix most of the project again in terms of the look and layout.  When I imported the .hlp in RH for Word, for the project's needs, it needed barely, if any, changes in order to generate a .chm that looked almost the same as the .hlp file.  So, based on needs for generating a .chm quickly rather than redoing the entire project since I only received the .hlp from someone else, I had to use RH for Word.

Is there any way to perhaps import the .chm I generated in .RH for Word into RH HTML to regenerate it and have the .chm work properly? Or any other type of workaround?  Thanks again.

That method did work.  I just had to make some minor corrections and fix the map ID's since I forgot to save those.  Thank you again for the help!
