Question

WinHlp32.exe error

Have been using RoboHelp 7 for Word for some time.  Have an existing  project that will compile and run without errors if comiled without  compression.  If compressed (maximum for shipping)  winhelp 32 produces  error messages such as firstly this message as the initial message :-

and then the following error message

These error messages do not appear on running the compiled project if it has been compiled without applying Maximum compression,  thus a beliefe there is some issue in how robohelp is applying compression ???

This has not been an issue for this long standing project before.  Anyone able to provide some assistance in correcting the issue as I would like to distribute the project in a compressed state as it is a fairly large help file when compiled without compression.

If you Google the "memory cannot be read you will get nearly 79 millions hits! That suggests it might not be RoboHelp but the point you make is noted.

Suggest you:

1] Try another project. RH does come with sample projects.

2] Install RH on another machine and then test the problem project.

That should tell you whether it is the machine or the project.
