I am running RoboHelp 10. Windows 8. When I try to generate Printed Documentation, this message appears "Please re-install Printed Documentation."  I've searched the previous postings. While my post is related to the problem; it is not related to the solution. Any suggestions for fix would be appreciated.

Rh10 was released before Windows 8 so Adobe could only test against a beta version, which they did and they made some changes so that Rh10 was compatible with that beta.

It is possible Microsoft made changes subsequently that are causing this problem but first we need to rule out other causes. You have found other posts related to the problem but ruled them out as the solution. It would help to know what you found and why those solutions are not relevant.

Does this problem occur with a brand new project? What version of Word are you using?

Hello Peter,

Thank you for responding. Did I mention that I work for Beth Gerber? Anyway, I am running MS Professional, Word 2010. The project was renamed to retain the stylesheet, skin, master pages, etc. I heard from Beth regarding links not working between projects. She now wants me to create a new project and import the content. (I wish there was an easier way).

On the forum, I found one other post relating to this problem. The person posting claimed the problem was due to ‘changed domains.’ I don’t have that situation here.

Anet

The email from your original post had a line about working for Beth but when I came to the forum via the web you had edited it out.

I think this problem is Windows 8 related so the first thing is can you work on a Windows 7 machine and do you get the same issue there?

I want to confirm the setup here. You mention links between projects not working so it sounds like this is a merged help scenario. Correct? Is the reason for creating new projects part of resolving the broken links problem? I'm wondering if maybe I should speak to Beth who I know? I will wait until I hear from you on that.
