Account blocked: Suspicious activity in 2025

Hey everyone,
Does anyone know how long Adobe usually takes in 2025 to resolve account blocks due to "suspicious activity"?

My account was deactivated on March 27, and I already submitted an appeal (case number 00358050), but till now (April 20), I haven’t received any proper update.

I’ve uploaded around 1500 AI-generated assets, out of which about 1000 were accepted, and I had around $100 in my account at the time of the block. It’s the result of almost 2 years of hard work using my own PC, writing prompts, improving outputs, and reworking assets until satisfied.

I truly believe I haven’t done anything wrong knowingly. I followed all the rules, and just recently, I had started getting good sales after working hard for so long. I believe they will return the account eventually, but honestly—how long does this usually take?

Got my account back but:

I’m really disappointed that my account was blocked without any proper explanation. Even worse, some of my earnings were also deducted... and I still don’t know what I did wrong. I’ve always followed the rules and uploaded original content, yet no clear reason has been given till now. If there was any suspicious activity, I honestly don’t know about it. How can I protect myself from this in the future if I don’t even know the reason my account was blocked?

You have proper explanation: irregular sales. And that were the earnings that were deducted. There is no issue with your uploads.

Adobe decided that, after an initial investigation, that there is at least doubt that you were involved in this suspicious sales scheme. That's the reason why they reinstated your account.

And the reason for the blocking is clearly stated: SUSPICIOUS SALES.

Perhaps it means that your account has not been permanently blocked.

They added a line in the email saying, "We appreciate your contribution and look forward to seeing your future contributions."
I think this means my account is under review and may be resolved soon.
Also, I believe the submission limit update has been applied to my account—maybe?

If your account has been suspended, there is nothing that this community of peers can do for you. You will need to contact Adobe contributor support via the link at “Contact us”. Adobe will answer via e-mail, so watch your spam folder. The answer may take some time, depending on the workload of contributor support and the complexity of the investigation. So be patient and do not spam the contributor support.

We have no way of knowing how long it takes to start a review, reach a decission, or to reinstate an account. Adobe is under no obligation to communicate with the contributor or to reinstate an account. Unfortunately, contributors that get their accounts back, rarely inform us.

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate it. If I receive any update or get my account back, I’ll definitely share my experience here so it can help others too.

If anyone else has recently faced a similar situation in 2025, it would be great if you could share what happened in your case—it might give the rest of us a better idea of what to expect.

Adobe is well aware of the complaints about the time required to review suspended accounts. This level of account review was simply never an issue before they started allowing AI assets into the database. With >320 million AI assets, many of them very similar, in the database, Buyers looking for AI assets can find what they're looking for. So, I suppose there is no incentive for them to increase the staff to get suspended accounts back online, or permanently suspended, any faster.

You're absolutely right, and I really appreciate your honest reply.

Honestly, I agree with you — but we have to also consider this--

Adobe themselves allowed AI content into the platform, which means it's their responsibility to build a better, more robust system to manage it. That includes proper detection for metadata issues, titles, tags, irregular patterns, and yes, even payment behavior. If the content volume (and their profits) are increasing, then logically they should invest in support and infrastructure to handle it. That’s just basic platform growth — and it’s a good thing for everyone, right?

Also, if we look at other platforms like Dreamstime and Wirestock, they’re handling things much more efficiently. Dreamstime actually informs contributors clearly when there's a problem, and their support replies in a few days. Wirestock, even as a middleman, explains things well and helps creators solve issues. They both accept AI content too — but with more clarity and faster response times.

That’s where Adobe is falling behind. It’s not just about AI assets — it’s about basic contributor respect and platform trust. Without creators, there is no platform. And I think most of us feel that the contributor support has only gotten worse over time, even though we're the ones helping the platform grow.

Let’s hope for the best, but seriously — if they’re making more, they should invest more to make it better. And that's good thing to do.
