In Adobe's "10 tips for getting your generative AI images approved for sale on Adobe Stock." it states, 4 megapixels minimum, do not exceed 8 megapixels. However, Midjouney's latest version provides a 2x upscale option that will produce a file 14-16 megapixels (4928 x 3712). The question is, do I NOT submit MidJourney's upscales becaue they are too large? Midjourney's upscale is much better than PS, Lightroom, or Gigapixel upscale. Just use the Midjourney 1.5 upscale? I'm confused, thanks for any clarity.

Adobe's guidelines for image submissions:
Follow these tech specs and guidelines:
I believe the problem with excessive upscaling is that the inherent artifacts in AI images can be exaggerated; but I suppose that varies in each image, so you'll have to inspect carefully before uploading.

I upscale AI images up to 24" on the longest side @ 300 dpi. So large files can certainly be submitted. You will just need to allow additional time (sometimes lots of it, even if you do it within MJ) to edit your images if you upscale to the maximum size allowed.

For once, someone who reads the guidelines… Great! 😀
The first and only tip in this segment is quality. If you upscale your assets, you also upscale any defect that is in your picture. The text you are referring to is from 09.2023. In generative AI terms, that is an eternity. As long as your assets, when checked at 100% do not expose artefacts and errors, you are fine. There is no need to be confused. Put the emphasis on quality before size, but if you can get great quality at a higher resolution, go for it.
