Are there Guidelines for Cultural Content?

Are there guidelines/requirements for submitting work that highlights or includes cultural content.  For example a Jewish friend gave me an "evil eye" ornament that made some good photos, and I have a rastafarian friend who dresses according to his culture - his wife is a seamstress who makes cultural clothing.  I live in a Hawaiian community which has a strong cultural voice.  What would I need to keep in mind when submitting these type of photos?

The problem with cultural artifacts and jewelry is tracking down the artist.  They may not be around anymore which poses copyright issues.  You must have 100% copyright to  whatever you sell for commercial use.

Illustrative Editorial content is by invitation.  I think you need at least 100 sales before you can submit to that license category.

I can see that tracking down the artist might be a bit much, especially if the item was made in another country, and if the piece is an older piece.  I have a long way to go before I am ready for Illustrative Editorial - but am on the journey.  These tips really help me set up a direction in taking and curating images.  Thank you much.

I think there's probably a demand for images that display such cultural diversity. Of course, if you portray people in their cultural garb, you need a model release for each recognizable person in the image. And if you feature a piece of jewelry, or any other artwork, as the focal point in an image you need a product release from the designer, not just the owner.

Thank you.  I figured on the model release, but didn't think about needing a product release.
