Asking for a critique

I am new here and my photos are being rejected. This does not bother me at all. It actually just means that I will end up being a better photographer and this is most of the reason that I am here.

 

The first few photos I sent in I now understand had too much 'noise'.  It took me a bit to figure that one out but, I adjusted the settings and sent in a couple more.  If someone has a minute, could you please take a peak and let me know what you think?

 

Neither photo has had any retouching done.  Both are as they were submitted. 

 

Just a note - the photos, as they uploaded here, look quite stretched on my monitor.  I am hoping that they will go back to the size they should be but, is this normal?  Could the problem be my choice of size?

Hi @Cheyrie ,

Both photos are noisy, with blue color fringing on the edges and out of focus. The first has a slight white balance issue also. 

You will need to pay close attention to focus, and depth of field. Also you will need to use a photo editor such as Photoshop to make corrections such as to remove noise, color fringing and correcting white balance and other unavoidable in-camera errors.

In addition to what Abambo said, both photos have chromatic abberation (blue fringe mostly on the wires), and I can see noise in the sky.

Focus for both pictures is too soft.

The first one has also a disturbing patch that should get edited:

Many editors have nowadays a simple stamp function to either take the colours from the surrounding areas and to blend that seamlessly into the picture, or they sample from somewhere and clone that to the source, or they have a content aware fill function.
