Hi all,

Appreciate if you could give me the advise what might be the reason of the reject and how to improve my skill. I have attached the compressed version of the photo. Original one is 14Mb.

Best regards,

Matt

Hello,

The first thing I noticed is your white balance on both of them. I think it is a bit too blue and cold looking.

Of course, it is best to shoot in raw and then change the colour temperature in post. In this case, it doesn't really matter what you set the colour balance to as you can always change it later.

This is too compressed to be adequately examined.  Try uploading the full sized photo.

@MattMatsunoo ,

So far I've seen that you have either added a filter or have the wrong white balance. However we need to be able to zoom in on the photo to examine it closer. This is too compressed. As we zoom in the quality gets distorted and we are unable to say for sure what other than white balance needs correcting.

Best wishes

This photo is too small. In this photo artifacts can be seen around the buildings.

Hi Ralph, JG, George,

Thank you for your posts.

Here are two photoes which were rejected.

Perhaps I am doing wrong for RAW handling, perhaps better not to change the auto setting of my camera....

Appreciate your kind advice.

Best regards,

Matt
