Clarification Needed: Can I Create a New Account or Request Reinstatement?
Hello Adobe Community,
I am seeking clarification regarding my Adobe Stock contributor account, which was recently terminated. Below is the official email I received from Adobe Contributor Relations:
Adobe's Email:
Hello,
We have reviewed your request to review our decision to close your account. At this time, we have decided not to reinstate your account due to ongoing violation of our Terms.
Your account has been blocked because you are uploading content that appears to belong to either other artists or websites.
By accepting the Adobe Stock Contributor Agreement, you have agreed to upload only content to which you own 100% of the copyrights of all image elements.
You have violated this agreement.
Additional investigations into your account revealed multiple cases of suspicious content being distributed therein. When we believe an Adobe Stock Contributor account is involved in the extensive and ongoing distribution of unauthorized content, it is Adobe´s policy to terminate that Contributor account. We hereby notify you that we are terminating the account.
As per Adobe's Contributor Agreement, your account will be cancelled and closed; all Works uploaded by you will be removed from the Website. However, we may continue to use the Works for internal archival and reference purposes, and all other Members who have downloaded your Work may continue to use your Work under the terms of their license.
You may continue to use the Work that you have downloaded and paid for.
We may prevent you from signing up to use or access the Services or the Website.
Please be sure to review Adobe´s Intellectual Property guidelines and keep in mind that per the Adobe Stock Contributor Agreement, Adobe has the right to accept or reject content, and to block or terminate Contributor accounts in its sole discretion.
Please treat this message and its content as confidential.
Regards,
Adobe Contributor Relations
In response, I sent the following email to express my willingness to comply:
My Reply:
Subject: Request for Account Deactivation Resolution
Dear Adobe Contributor Relations Team,
I understand and respect the decision to deactivate my Adobe Stock contributor account. To ensure full compliance with your policies, I am ready to remove any content that may be in violation, including those that may be unaffected but are part of my account.
I also want to assure you that I will strictly follow Adobe's Terms and Conditions moving forward, ensuring that all my future contributions adhere to your guidelines.
Please proceed with the removal of all content from my account at your earliest convenience, as I am committed to resolving any issues and complying fully with Adobe's policies.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
Muhammad Hussain
Despite my response, Adobe stated that my account will not be reinstated and that I am not permitted to create a new account.
Questions:
- Is there any possibility for Adobe to reconsider their decision and reactivate my account in the future?
- Am I permanently prohibited from creating a new account on Adobe Stock, or are there steps I can take to resolve this and start over?
- Has anyone else faced this situation and found a way to reestablish a working relationship with Adobe Stock?
I would greatly appreciate any insights or experiences from other contributors who have dealt with similar issues. My goal is to fully comply with Adobe’s policies and maintain a transparent relationship moving forward.
Thank you in advance for your guidance!
Best regards,
Muhammad Hussain
