Question

Complies with size, still rejected for size restrictions

I have tried to upload to Stock an image that is 4047 x 2396 pixels, which is a little over 9MP.  However, I get rejected for not complying with size restrictions (Minimum 4MP, maximum way over 9MP).

I do not understand what is going on.  Can someone help me, please?

From Adobe Stock Contributor User Guide:

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/user-guide.html/stock/contributor/help/photography-illustrations.ug.html

Adobe Stock accepts photos shot with any camera—including a mobile device—if they meet our technical and legal requirements as well as our quality standards.

Technical requirements:

  • Submit images in JPEG format.
  • Use color space sRGB
  • Minimum image resolution: 4 MP (megapixels)
  • Maximum image resolution: 100 MP (megapixels)
  • Maximum file size: 45 MB (megabytes)
  • No watermarks or timestamps
  • Do not upsample your files; submit the maximum file size that your camera can produce.

Hi @robertogejman

Read the rejection reason again.  I'm almost certain your image was rejected for technical reasons, not file size.

Adobe Stock looks for highest visual and technical quality. See links below.

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/quality-and-technical-issues.html

Unfortunately, this image is not suitable for Stock and there is nothing you can do to salvage it.

Better luck with your next submission.

I understand that the image is not of an acceptable quality. However, I
happen to know how to read, and it clearly says that the size is incorrect.
Why don’t you state the real reason.--

@robertogejman,

You're not talking to Adobe here.  We are fellow users just like you.

It's your job to understand the submission requirements beforehand.

When in doubt, please re-read the Stock Contributor User Guide.

Goodbye & good luck!

If you don't comply with the size requirements, you get rejected during the upload process. That check can be automated.

Your picture got rejected probably on the basis of technical issues, witch concerns the content. In your case the picture is simply not suitable for stock because of the way you processed the image. That filter or camera movement is not allowed, as it restricts stock usage.
