Hi,

I am very new to Adobe Stock selling and I had a picture rejected. I've gone over the picture but sure I missed something. It's the correct size.

Please let me know what your thoughts are and why it was turned down.

Thanks so much.

It's a bit dark in the shadows, tammyMLA, and I think the sunlight entering the lens did a number of the flowers themselves, causing loss of detail. That said, getting flowers accepted to Adobe Stock is a tough sell. There are already millions of them available. But good on you for getting ahead of the game and uploading Fall images now before it actually gets here. Keep trying!

There is much more to quality than just resolution and file size. I agree with @daniellei4510  that the shadows are underexposed. The flowers also lack sharp focus.

This is going to require a fair amount of post editing to boost highlights and sharpen foreground elements.

I would focus less on the sunset and beach and shift viewer's eye to the main keyword elements -- in this case fall, pumpkins & sunflowers.

Before adding a levels adjustment layer and mask:

After adjustment layer & mask.

It's not finished but you get the general idea.

Hope that helps.

Hi @tammyMLA ,

I like the back-lighting but you underexposed the frame. Also, there is a white balance issue. I don't believe the leaves have the correct color and of course the white is not white. Zoom in at between 100 and 200% to identify faults and try to get your images as close to reality as possible.

Best wishes

If you submitted a PNG file: PNG file format should only be used for pictures with a transparent background. All other photos should be submitted as high quality JPEG files. As a rule of thumb, a file size of 2-4Gb should be enough.

FYI: if your picture resolution is below the required minimum resoltion of 4 mega pixels, you won't be able to upload them. If you can submit the asset, all (most of the) parameters that can be checked automatically, have been checked.

Quality issues mean that the moderator has found at least one problem with the picture itself, like focus, exposure, artefacts etc. As you have here focussing issues, I see very little possubility to correct this picture. Exposure can be corrected in limits, artefacts are very often introduced by the processing, either in-camera or by post processing.
