On Jan 1, 2024, copyright to Disney's legendary Mickey & Minnie Mouse cartoon characters expired.  They are in the public domain now.  See below for more details on what that means.

Only its just the Steamboat Willie kind. Not the recent incarnations. My guess they'll get the old Winnie the Pooh treatment by some artists. See the raunchy "Blood and Honey" articles.

Winnie the Pooh, Disney version, is still under copyright. It's only the original character that is in the public domain.

 

As for Mikey, it's part of the logo, so be prepared to see Apple like defenses of the Disney brand! 😎
