Exposure Problem

Greetings, I was looking for some constructive feedback on 2 images that were denied due to exposure problems! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would say that you don't have enough mid tones in both pictures. I think your blacks are too black. Even in a night time exposure, you should aim for an overall range of tones. Here, I think, it got rejected, because you don't have an even tonal range. By even tonal range, I mean going from your blacks to whites in order to encompass the full tonal range that the image can offer.

In your second picture, there is no detail in the shadows for example.

Thank you for the feedback. For some some reason I wanted the blacks and shadows to be dark, to create greater contrast (in my mind). I will strive to even the tones throughout the images and see how they come out! Thank you for the great feedback.

The photo does appear over colorized and dark. GIve it light and natural tones and maybe try it again. The buyer would rather have the option of playing with dark tones so keep it natural. JH
