Feedback for rejected photo

hi,

these two images have been rejected due to technical issues but they were accepted on shutterstock. Does anyone know why?

Both images have very noticeable focus problems and would not be suitable for commercial print.

 

Adobe Stock customers expect the highest visual and technical quality for use in professional projects.

In addition to the image blur, the model's chipped nail polish makes it unlikely that this image would be sold.

    Focus. The ring may also be an IP issue. It is the main subject. As a design, it belongs to someone.

    Hi @fablerin ,

    Too much of both images are out of focus. You should have the entire hand in focus. The entire cat should be in focus. This is not the case. The eyes could be sharper. Also there is color fringing along the edge of the back leg.

    Do you mind if I ask how to get everything in focus? For animals and objects in motion, I have been under impression that as long as the eyes are in focus the photo will be fine. Since the back of the cat falls under different focal length than the eyes (front) the camera only can focus on either of them. Focus stacking won't work unless the subject is stationary. So what would be the solution here?

    Shooting with a smaller aperture like f8 or f16 instead of f1.8 will produce a larger depth of field.

        you're right the photo with the ring was definitely out of focus but in the photo with the cat I think sony's animal eye AF worked fine 🤔 🤔 Thank you for the answer!

        Examine images at 100-300% magnification to show defects.
