Feedback required on rejected image

My images have been rejected along with a few others I posted. Could someone please let me know a reason why this could be? I'm assuming it may be the quality but feedback would be much appreciated.

These were taken on an iPhone.

If the rejection reason was "quality issues" then it was because of the quality. You should mention the Adobe rejection reason (the heading is enough).

Your first: it's slightly underexposed and the focus is not right. It needs to be on the ball of the bell. That wouldn't have been such an issue, but unfortunately you have a very narrow DOF.

Your second also has a narrow DOF (too narrow for my preference), but you focussed the correct items. The asset has exposure isses, the histogram shows that the picture misses blacks and whites, which results in a picture that lacks contrast.
