It could be that the non-conforming issue is that you might have uploaded the images in png format? You should only upload jpgs unless your assets have a transparent background.

Generative AI should be submitted as JPG. Read the User Guide for more details.

I read that a lot, but it's simply not true. I upload basically all my AI images as png, because that is the format, upscayler spits out files, when you bulk upscayl. And never has problems they getting them accepted.
On the other hand if you want to upload files that have transparency, they have to be png. For technical reasons. I think this is where the confussion comes from.
My guess about the picture is, that it is so sepcial and could have so many things that could be wrong, that a moderator might reject this simply because he is not sure if this is a correct picture of whatever it is. I personaly stay away form that kind of motives. In general I experienced that the simpler and cleaner a picture is, the higher the chance it gets approved. And also the higher the chances are it will sell. If you look at a picture and you do not understand on first sight whats going on there, than it has high chances to be rejected or if approved will not be selling.

There is no confusion. Those are Adobe's instructions. Nothing more, nothing less. I have no idea, why Adobe accepts those files, as they go against the rules. https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/png-with-transparency.html

Where in the article is stated that you're not allowed to upload regular pictures as png? If you upload them specifically as "TRANSPARENT png" they do not have to have a background. But thats ONLY if you upload it as a transparent png. Why would Adobe care with normal images are jpg, jpeg or png? It gets anyways converted in JPEGs. I work as a Retoucher for over 15 years and there are actually clients who wants there files even without transperency as png. Does it make sens? Propably not. But it doesn't matter if you submit pngs or jpgs as normal images.

Must be transparent is not may be transparent.
I do not submit PNG files without transparency, so I do not know the Adobe handling. But the rules seem to be clear.
I've never asked for PNGs, but when I wanted 0 generation files, I've asked for TIFF files (or even raw files).
There is no flag to set an image as a transparent background image.
Incidentally: I have more than 30 years of experience as a retoucher. 🙂 Do I win?
It looks like Adobe accepts assets that are PNG without transparency, but it may well be, that somewhere in the future those accounts get blocked. That currently happens with a bunch of generative AI submitters who submitted certain types of assets. There were no prior instructions out, however. And when you have to check 60k of assets, bonjour les dégats (hello damage). Do as you wish.

By @Abambo
Well, you win by a narrow margin ;P.
I also can only speculate about the process when uplaoading Images (not transparent PNGs). I guess they get at some point automatically converted to jpegs, thats why Adobe does not care. But you got a point, when it comes to a huge portfolio. You don't wanna jeopardize that and rather stick to jpegs.

You can check that with your PNG files. If they are offered as PNG and JPEG, they are as PNG in the database. If they get only offered as JPEG, they got converted.

.png files have downsides as well as upsides. There isn't really a practical difference between the two in my experience, aside from the support for transparency.
I think Adobe would want the smaller file size of .jpeg to keep storage costs down personally.

Owing to differences in file compression, JPGs contain less data and filesize than PNGs. It's preferred for raster images. However, PNGs support alpha-transparency and JPGs don't. Use the right file for your content.

Danielle is right. But there are some things in the picture that don't fit - the front ladder is wrong as far as I can see, there is an opening on the pipe which should probably have been a handle and it's not circular, a strange peg hangs on the railing - which doesn't have all the struts - and the railing above, as far as I can see, is not regular. Also, the first tank has the wrong dimension - it's not round, and the joins seem somewhat random on all the tanks.

For a Non-Compliance rejection, the title and keywords are usually a good place to start. Make sure they are all in the same language and don't reference other artists, famous landmarks, trademarks or companies, etc.
I see that you've referenced Clean Hydrogen, which appears to be trademarked from a quick search.
I also see Quality Issues, so if you clear up the Non-Compliance issue this will likely be rejected for Quality Issues.
I hope this helps!

When I zoom in to inspect the image, I see a lot of jagged lines and white halos along the edges of objects, which usually denotes that the image has been over-processed.

It's non-conforming, so something with the keywords or the title is wrong. But the image itself is nonsense. I worked long enough in this industry to see at the first sight that this can't be real. But the moderators can't know that.

You're welcome. the quality issues would not let pass this asset anyhow. But for your learning curve, I would look into both, the title&keywords and the quality issues.
